Developing a consistent message about your product or services,
helps ensure you attract appropriate and loyal customers
to your level of products.
First you need to analyze your business and see what you are trying to grow,
am I looking to increase the frequency of returning customers or am I looking to
expand into a different market? Then define those customer's connection nodes and
demographics and proceed from there...
There is a process to communicating with your customers, which if followed;
will result in consistent and on target messaging. Good communication planning
demands that you start with a well defined brand strategy;
whether you are baking bagels or building cars.
The best media streams depend on who your target audience is, and where customers
are on the product adoption spectrum - are you trying to get awareness of your product -
or are you trying to get existing customers to become advocates to others, etc...
1st, if it was deserved then fix your business practices. However, an undeserved
one demands an immediate response that is proportional and which targets the same
audience. There are many techniques available, most of which reinforce your positive
brand message and are an extension of your existing communication strategy.
1st, Just having a website does not guarentee that you will generate sales, or even
or even be found by people looking to buy from you. Web-site optimization demands a lot
of attention to an ongoing process. Viewing and understanding web site metrics which will
lead to a better web-site is necessary to start the process to get your site on track.
Your website should be part of an overall media strategy and communications plan for
your business, not just something you put together using a click and drop application
during a few free hours on the weekend. A custom look and action will help differentiate
you from your competition It also needs to be standards complient to help it get found
and ensure that in the ever-increasing mobile world it can be seen how you would like it.
Consumers rank 'friends and family recommendations' higher than all other influencers in a study
by ZenithOptimedia (Young, Brand Media Strategy, p.89). The key is finding the right group of social
media consumers that will recommend your product and service and then, leverage the vast tools that the providers have developed to target them.
You can; but shouldn't you be spending your time working on refining and improving your business. We would never tell you the proper ingredients to make the bagel dough, treat a patient or serve your non-profit group, but we can ensure that your communication strategy is the best for your business and ensure that you have a consistent message and always look professional while targeting the most appropriate audience - can you?
